Mosaic Wall Clock From Ancient Rome

This clock looks like it could have been built from a sundial located in an ancient Roman village. The colors are meant to evoke the coming of autumn, but to me they seam to have been born in the days of the coliseum.

I really appreciate mosaic designs both for the amount of artistic work that goes into them, and because they represent the union of imagination and chaos, which is a very powerful force.

In this piece the design is mostly random, with autumn acting as a theme, but not a boundary, for the evocative images that arise from the surface of the clock.

This is another etsy find from artist “Big Rock Mosaics”
